TCCAA ANNOUNCES ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS, SPECIAL AWARDS

The TCCAA announced their All-Conference Teams and Special Awards at the TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII Tournament Friday Afternoon.

Roane State's Haley Ledford was named the 2024 TCCAA Player of the Year while Walters State's Rylee Haynie was named the 2024 TCCAA Freshman of the Year.  Walters State's Megan Blaylock was named the Coach of the Year.

A setter for Roane State, Ledford was phenomenal for the lady Raiders this year.  Ledford led the conference with 753 assists and 9.18 assists per set.  Ledford was seond in service aces with 59 and sixth in solo blocks with 18.  Ledford also had 270 digs.

The Freshman of the Year, haynie has a great season fo the Lady Senators at middle blocker.  Haynie led the conference in total blocks with 97 and averaged 1.03 blocks per set.  Haynie was thrid in the conference with a .307 hitting perentage and eighth in the conference with 198 kills.  Haynie wa named the NJCAA DII Defensive Player fo the Week earlier this season.

Blaylock was named TCCAA Coach of the Year for the sixth time.  This year, Blaylock led Walters State to a 23-5 record and a 7-1 record in the conference.  The Lady Senators won the TCC REgular Season Title for the second straight season.

On the TCCAA All-conference First Team were Walters State's Haynie, Lauren Mims & Alyssa Campbell, Roane State's Ledford & Solene Roussel, and Chattanooga State's Ava Higgins.

On the TCCAA Second Team were chattanooga State's Emma Haddix & Baileigh Seale, Roane State's Jaylynn Bullock & Frida Hoellger, Pellississippi State's Devyn Dunn, and Cleveland State's Zowee Dillard and Isabella Messer.
