MOTLOW WOMEN'S SOCCER EARNS #1 SEED FOR REGION TOURNAMENT

The Motlow State Lady Buck women's soccer team recently secured the top seed for the upcoming 2023 TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII Tournament.  The Lady Bucks finished their conference season with a 6-1-1 record for the season.  They currently stand at 11-2-2 on the season with one non conference game at the end of the week.

The #2 seed for the tournament will be Columbia State with a conference record of 5-2-1 and an overall record of 12-3-2 also with one non conference game at the end of the week.  Southwest Tennessee (3-4 conference, 3-10-2 overall) is the #3 seed and Dyersburg State (0-7 conference, 3-9-1 overall) will be the #4 seed.  Pellissippi State went 4-4 in conference play and 6-6 overall in their first season of competition, but not eligible for postseason play for the first year.

The semi final games will be played on Monday, Ocotber 23, at the higher seed sites.  Motlow will host Dyersburg at 3p.m. CST at the Motlow State field on their main campus.  Columbia will host Southwest Tennesse at 7 p.m. CST at the Ridley Sports Complex at 6148 Trotwood Avenue in Columbia.

The championship match will be played on Thursday, October 26, at the site of the higher remaining seed.  Game time TBD.

The Region VII Champion will advance to the Central District to be hosted by Region 24
