MOTLOW WOMEN'S SOCCER RANKED #19 IN LATEST NJCAA POLL; COLUMBIA RECEIVING VOTES

In the latest women's soccer poll, the Motlow State Bucks moved up to the #19 spot in the rankings after opening the season at the #20 spot.  Also, the Columbia State Chargers are mentioned in the poll for receiving votes.

The Bucks are currently stand at 4-1-1 on the season as well as being 2-0 in conference play.  Their lone loss came in their opener against the defending champion Iowa Western.  Midfielder Camden Prosser leads the squad with four goals while midfielders Alysa Benton, Kaite Jones, and Kinley Buena each have two goals.  Alba Embid and Alexis Mcmath lead the squad with three assists. 

The Chargers stand at 7-0-1 on the season with a 1-0 conference record.  Fielders Destini Martinez and Cruz Grinolds lead the team with five goals apiece. Defender Abigale Alexander is next with four goals.  Moriah Melikian and Savannah Haupt each have three assists to lead the team.

The two teams are set to square off against each other on Thursday, September 21, in Columbia.  The match is scheduled for 8 p.m. CST at the Ridley Sports Complex in Columbia.
