MOTLOW STATE LEADS WOMEN'S SOCCER HALFWAY THROUGH SEASON
As the calendar turns to October, Motlow State leads NJCAA Region VII with a perfect 4-0 record while also receiving votes for the NJCAA National Poll. The Lady Bucks sit with an overall record of 9-2.
Columbia State is right behind Motlow with a 3-1 conferecne record and overall record of 6-5-1. Dyersburg State is third with 1-3 conference record and a 3-7 overall record. Southwest Tennessee has an 0-4 record in conference with an 0-10 overall record.
Motlow has beaten Southwest this season by identical 7-0 scores. They hold a 9-0 win over Dyersburg, and a 4-0 win over Columbia. Columbia has beaten Dyersburg by 1-0 and 4-3 in two close matches. Columbia also has a 9-0 win over Southwest. Dyersburg has a lone win over Southwest by a score of 3-2.
The first round of the NJCAA VII Tournament will be on Monday, October 24, at the higher seeds with #4 seed traveling to the #1, and #3 traveling to the #2 seed. The championship game will be held on Thursday, October 28 at the remaining higher seed.
