CLEVELAND STATE INTRODUCES LISA PHILLIPS AS NEW WOMEN'S COACH

Cleveland State recently announced Lisa Phillips had accepted the women's baskeball head coaching position.  Phillips comes to the Cougar program after spending the last year at Northland College, a NCAA Division III school, in Wisconsin.

Phillips has over 20 years experience in coaching at all levels.  A Virginia Beach native, she got her start in coaching as the head coach at Greenbrier Christian Academy in Chesapeake (VA).  Once in college coaching, she has held positions of Director of Basketball Operations and Assistant Coach at the NCAA level.

She wants to help her athletes move on to successful lives beyond Cleveland State.  "My goal here is to build those foundational pieces that takes these young women to the next level, not only on the court but in academics and future careers," she noted.
