CLEVELAND'S HARRELL NAMED MVP AMONG REGULAR SEASON AWARDS

During quarterfinal action on Sunday, March 1, the women announced their regular season awards as well as the TCCAA All Conference teams.  These were based on the voting of the league coaches.

Cleveland's Aisjah Harrell walked away with two of the special awards as she was named the league's Most Valuable Player as well as being named Freshman of the Year.  Dyersburg State's Sinetra Jones and Kira Lowery accepted special awards with Jones being named the league's Defensive Player of the Year and Lowery being the Offensive Player of the Year.  Chattanooga State's Stacey Franklin was named the Coach of the Year.  Walters State was presented the regular season trophy.

Joining Harrell as a member of the All Conference first team was teammate Britnay Jones of Cleveland, Alexix Akins of Jackson State, Melisa Carter of Chattanooga State, Lowery of Dyersburg State, Paris Mullins & Jamya Rogers of Walters State, Tanisia Murphy of Motlow State, Derinisha Taylor of Southwest Tennessee, and Lapraisia Ward of Roane State.

Making the second team were Kevanika Brown of Motlow State, Diamond Cannon & Treshondra Williams of Columbia State, Naja Fenelon, Michelle Smith & Shaquala Walton of Chattanooga State, Alexandria Godwin & Iya Jones of Jackson State, Anaya Martin & Alex McFarlin of Volunteer State, Amaria Pugh of Dyersburg State, Za'Kkria Robinson of Cleveland State, and Jaelyn Royal of Southwest Tennessee.
