WALTERS STATE LADY SENATORS RANKED #16 IN COUNTRY; COACHES PICK TO WIN TCCAA

With the 2019-2020 season kicking off this weekend, the NJCAA rankings came out and the Lady Senators of Walters State were ranked #16 in the initial poll.  Also, the coaches in the TCCAA have chosen the Lady Senators to repeat as the TCCAA regular season champions once again.

In the coaches' vote, Walters received nine first place votes among the ten members.  Cleveland State, Southwest Tennessee, and Chattanooga State followed the Lady Senators in the voting.  Dyersburg State received the other first place vote in the poll.

The Lady Senators finished last season with a 29-5 record which included their 8th straight NJCAA Region VII/TCCAA Tournament title and Sweet Sixteen appearance in the National Tournament where they lost to the eventual national champion Gulf Coast 68-62.
