MOTLOW'S LEWIS, WALTERS MENDJIADEU & ESMON NAMED ALL AMERICANS

The NJCAA announced the All Americans for Women's Basketball and the TCCAA is proud to announce that three ladies were honored for their achievements on the court.  Motlow's Janna Lewis was recognized to the 2nd team where she was joined by Walters' Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu.  Walters' Zacharyia Esmon was also named to the Honrable Mention team.

Lewis, a sohomore, averaged 22.7 points this season for the Lady Bucks.  She averaged 11.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in her 31 games.  She made good on 45.1% of her shots from the field which included 33.7% from beyond the three point line, and she connected on 73.5% of her shots from the free throw line.  She appeared in 58 games for her career with 49 starts.  She averaged 19.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists a contest.

Mendjiadeu, a sophomore transfer, averaged 15.4 points a game to go with 8.8 rebounds a game and one assist a game.  She had 54 blocks in 34 games for the Lady Senators.  She made good on 52.2% of her shots from the field and connected on 79.5% from the free throw line. 

Esmon, a sophomore, averaged 14.7 points a game to go with 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists a game.  She was good on 43.5% of her shots from the field with 32.4% behind the three point line.  She also connected on 77.4% of her free throw shots.   For her career, she appeard in 65 games averaging 10.5 points a game to go with 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists a contest.
