#9 LADY SENATORS LOOK TO STAY PERFECT IN CONFERENCE

Walters State women's team will take to West Tennessee for key matchups as they strive to remain undefeated in conference play.  The Lady Senators stand 1-0 after defeating Roane State in the first week of action. 

Southwest Tennessee stands as the lone team with a 2-0 record on the young season defeating both Chattanooga and Cleveland the first week.  Motlow and Volunteer each sit at 1-0 after picking up wins over Jackson.  Chattanooga and Cleveland each sit at 1-1 so far in conference play. 

Janna Lewis leads the conference in scoring with 20 points a game.  Zacharyia Esmon of Walters and Semajia Ogburn of Jackson are at 16.6 and 16 points, respectively.  Zikaya Wright of Chattanooga joins Lewis and Ogburn as all three average 10.7 rebounds a contest to lead the conference.  Ozahria Fisher of Dyersburg leads with 6.3 assists a game while Wandaryku of Jackson averages 5.3 a contest.

Oreona Brown of Dyersburg is leading the conference in steals with 4.3 while Young averages 4.0 a contest.  Starasia Bell-Freeman of Motlow and Tamia Curry of Southwest Tennessee are the leaders in blocks with 20 for the season.  Ornella Cinthia Mbakop of Roane, Azhane Bacot of Motlow, and Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu of Walters have all reached with 18, 13, and 10 on the season.
