PELLISSIPPI STATE WINS INITIAL GAME 2-0 OVER TN WESLEYAN JV

In their initial regular season opener, the Panthers of Pellissippi State earned their first victory in the history of the school as well as the TCCAA with 2-0 shutout of the junior varsity squad from Tennessee Wesleyan University.

The Panthers scored both of their goals in the first half, and Ben Schulz will go down in history for scoring the first goal for the program at the 14:13 mark of the first half.  Ruben Cardoza will ad a goal at the 33:26 mark of the opening session for the Panthers other score.  The Panthers had 16 shots on the goal for a .125 percentage.

Goalie Lizandro Moradel held the Bulldogs scoreless with a solid effort between the pipes.

The Panthers will try to keep with their winning ways as they host South Carolina-Union on August 23 with a 1p.m. start.  The match will be played at the EYF-Lonsdale facility located at 1744 Texas Avenue.
