JACKSON'S HANCOCK NAMED REGULAR SEASON MVP; ALL CONFERENCE TEAMS ANNOUNCED

During this past week's conference tournament, special awards were given as well as the announcement of the 2019-20 TCCAA All Conference teams.  These were made on February 29 during the middle games of the quarterfinal round.  These selections were voted on by the coaches in the league.

Kavion Hancock of Jackson County came away with two awards as he was named the conference's Most Valuable Player as well as being named the Offensive Player of the Year.  Also receiving special recorgnition were Jamari Bostic and Jonathon Bolden of Columbia State.  Bostic was chosen the Freshman of the Year while Bolden was named the Defenisve Player of the Year.  The Coach of the Year award went to co'coaches as both Deron Hines of Jackson State and David Anderon of Dyersburg State were both honored.  Dyersburg State also received the regular season trophy.

Athletes who were named 1st team accolades were Bostic of Columbia State, Elijah Cobb & Kavan Hill of Roane State, Lorenzo Ferrell of Chattanooga State, Clythius Griffith of Southwest Tennessee, Hancock and Radarious Washington of Jackson State, Darius Harding of Motlow State, Bryce McBride of Dyersburg State, and Kobe Powell of Walters State.

Bolden & Chris Nix of Columbia State were named to the 2nd team along with Mark Edmond, Famous Jones & Devin Pitts of Dyersburg State, Christian Jones of Southwest Tennessee, Luiz Machado & Paris Taylor of Walters State, Zack Morris of Volunteer State, Richard Nunez of Chattanooga State, and Demonte Person of Cleveland State.
