#1 DYERSBURG FALLS IN QUARTERS; OTHER TOP SEEDS ADVANCE

The Dyersburg State egales saw their season come to an end in the quartefinals of the tournament as Motlow State advanced with a 97-76 triumph over the #1 seeded Eagles.  The other three top seeds advanced to the semifinals set for Monday.  Host Columbia State advanced with a 82-75 win over Walters State.  Jackson State then prevailed over Volunteer State 99-82.  In the finale of the day, Southwest Tennessee moved on with an 85-68 win over Roane State.

Darius Hardin led the Bucks over the Eagles with a game high 30 points.  Three other Motlow players reachewd double figures in the win.  Jace Wallace had 17 points, Keyshun Bradley had 16, and Derrick Rayford had 14 for the victors.  Harding led the team with 13 rebounds while Rayford dished out a team high six assists.  The Eagles also had four scorers reach double figures, led by Bryce McBride and Demario Moore with 19 points apiece.  Mark Edmond had and Devin Pitts had 13 in the contest.  Moore had a team high 10 rebounds while Pitts had four assists.

Columbia State was led Jayden Lockett with 24 points.  Jamari Bostic and Gene Holmes eached double figures with 15 points apiece with Homes handing out a team high four assists.  Jonathan Bolden led the team with 14 rebounds and Lockett had three steals.  Walters had four scorers in double figures with Luiz Machado leading the way with 20 points.  De'Marius Boyd was next with 16 points.  Anthony Jones and Kobe Powell had 11 and 10 points, respectively.  Paris Taylor had a team high ten rebounds while Sly Thompson and Powell each had three assists.

Jackson State had three players reach double figures led by Radarious Washington with 30 points and 14 rebounds.  Kavion Hancock had 24 points in the win with Ethan Jones scoring 19 points and a team high 17 boards.  Antwan Beans had nine assists in the win.  Volunteer placed three scorers in double figures.  Zack Morris finished with a team high 24 points followed by Austin Fisher with 18 and Heston King with 11.  George Roberson had a team high six rebounds and Justin Goodson had three assists.

Southwest Tennessee used solid shooting from 3 point range in their win.  They had four scorers reach double figures led by Joshua Kelly with 21 points.  Clythus Griffith was next with 19 points followed by Justin Batts and Christian Jones with 13 apiece.  Kelly and Jones both had six rebounds while Batts had seven assists in teh victory.  For Roane, they had three reach double digits led by Jawaun Moore with 22 points.  Malachi Gayle and Micah Fallin each had 14 points in the game.  Gayle led the team with 14 rebounds while Moore and Fallin each had two assists.
