THREE SELECTED FOR NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

For the week of March 13th thru the 19th, the TCCAA had three players selected from the conference as a national player of the week in their respective sport.  Tori Coffman of Walters State and Lydia Kirby of Volunteer State were named pitcher and player of the week in Division I softball while Cooper Casteel of Cleveland State wqs named Division I Pitcher of the Week in baseball.

Coffman made three ppearancesduring the week, earning two wins and one save.  She threw 13 innings, allowing no hits and no runs with 28 strikeouts with one walk in her three outings. 

Kirby was impressive at the plate as she hit .565 at the plate with two doubles, six home runs and 29 rbis in Volunteer State's ten wins.

Casteel was dominant in his outing for the week, throwing a no-hitter in his start, striking out 11 batters with three walks in a 2-0 victory.
