PELLISSIPPI'S JAREK MORTON NAMED NJCAA MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Pellissippi State's Jarek Morton was named the NJCAA Men's NJCAA Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of August 23-29.  Morton is freshman from Knoxville and 2023 graduate of Farragur High School.

In his one event, Morton was the medalist in a tri-meet with fellow conference members Roane State and Walters State.  He posted a time of 18:31.6 in the 5K event, besting the field by over 30 seconds in the event hosted by Walters State.
